The Spark Of An Idea
As a high school administrator, Eli Crow saw firsthand the complex challenge of building master schedules. His solution began on a 16-foot whiteboard, sparking an idea to find a better way.
2010
Partnered With Ph.D. Researchers
Crow partnered with Ph.D. researchers in computer science to develop the first algorithms for untangling K-12 staffing, built to place the right educator in the right role with unmatched precision.
2011
View From The Central Office
Now a superintendent, Crow gained a district-wide perspective on education’s challenges, seeing how systemic inefficiencies in staffing, scheduling, compliance, and more were impacting performance across every school.

Launched Education Advanced
Crow founded Education Advanced, bringing together former HR administrators and education professionals to transform how schools manage staffing and scheduling. Built on more than 900 years of combined experience, the team focused on replacing manual processes with technology that frees educators to focus on students.

Published Groundbreaking Research
Dr. Crow earned his Ph.D. in Education Administration and Higher Education Administration with a dissertation in public school finance, introducing a first-of-its-kind algorithm to estimate the cost of standardized testing.

Particle Swarm Optimization
Kenny Sikes, a leading researcher for Education Advanced, published a master’s thesis on particle swarm optimization and its application to secondary master schedules, turning scheduling chaos into calculated clarity.

Pioneered EdTech Innovations
Cardonex future CTO, Kaiden Vo, transformed interactive learning as the lead architect of ClassFlow, a blended learning platform that empowered teachers to create dynamic, multimedia-rich lessons accessible through any browser. From Card Tables to Classrooms: The Cardano Influence
Our name honors Girolamo Cardano (1501–1576), a Renaissance polymath whose revolutionary work connected abstract theory with real-world application. Best known for formalizing the principles of probability, Cardano famously applied his mathematical insights to games of chance—using logic to outwit randomness and fund his research, much to the frustration of his rivals.
At Cardonex, we carry that same spirit forward. Like Cardano, we believe math should serve people—not just in theory, but in practice. His foundational work on probability and systems thinking laid the groundwork for the very algorithms that power our platform today.
